What did the Maya Indian Kings wear?

Mayan Kings wore elaborate headdress featuring representations of  the Mayan "Principal Bird Deity.  The King's costume represented "The World Tree"; linking its wearer to the Gods, the sky and the elemental forces of life and nature.  The Vulture was a symbol of Kingship for the Maya Indians, who also held in their arms a "Ceremonial Bar" representing the two headed Serpent of the Eliptic.  The Maya Indian King's Jewelry included ear spools, obsidian, jade and jadeite items, jade representing Life and Breath.
